MWAA MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN ENROLLMENT

What Is a Medicare Advantage Plan?
A Medicare Advantage( Medicare Part C) plan combines Medicare Part A( Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B( Medical Insurance) and is offered through a private insurance carrier approved by Medicare. These plans may provide additional benefits beyond Original Medicare.
Medicare Eligibility Requirement
To enroll in an MWAA Medicare Advantage plan, you must be enrolled in both Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B and remain enrolled in both parts for the duration of your coverage.
Premium Payment Requirement
Enrollment in the MWAA Medicare Advantage plan does not replace your obligation to pay Medicare premiums. Retirees must continue to pay any required Medicare Part B premium directly to Medicare( typically through Social Security deductions or direct billing). In addition, retirees must pay any applicable MWAA retiree medical plan premium. Both premiums must be paid to maintain coverage.
